Cast off at four and be asleep by nine, with nothing above you but rigging and stars. Solstice is a 44-foot sloop that sleeps four in two varnished cabins, with an onboard galley, a shaded cockpit and a skipper and first mate who handle every line. Days are snorkelling bays and swim-stop lunches; evenings are gin-and-tonics in the cockpit and an anchorage only a handful of boats share. You came for the islands; you will stay for the swing of the boat.
