Overview
A hand-built treehouse reached by rope bridge, with a wood-fired sauna below.
Built by two carpenters over three summers, Cedar Nest is a two-level treehouse braced between old-growth Douglas firs, with a living room suspended seven metres up and a sleeping loft above it. You reach it over a 25-foot rope bridge, then trade the bridge for the wood-fired sauna at the base, a fire ring, and a creek you can hear but not see. Coffee comes down the zip line in a thermos. The forest does the rest.
